Sony is rumored to launch its PlayStation phone (PSP) next year during Christmas. Though December 2009 seems too far, guess all the gaming freaks are geared up for a long wait.

Marketing week claims that according to some anonymous source, the release of this phone is due during Christmas next year. Some more rumors to crop up are that the relationship between Sony and Ericsson has gone sour. Recently we had reported about the Sony Ericsson F305 which is a gaming phone and definitely not carrying a PlayStation tag.

Sony is said to be making some modifications to bring in the PSP phone as presently it is capable of being used as a VoIP phone through the Wi-Fi connectivity but is not enabled with the cellular network technology.

The PSP phone is much awaited by everyone. Without speculating much, let’s wait and watch.
