Palm Centro At&T and Sprint models

Palm must really be happy as its smartphone Centro has made it really proud. Palm’s share in the smartphone market has gone up, thanks to the popularity of Centro. Its share has almost doubled from 7.9% witnessed in the fourth quarter last year to 13.4% this year.

However, the proportion of shares it has in the market is small as compared to the 23% of market shares it had in the first quarter of 2007. However, Palm should not feel bad, atleast the numbers are growing! The only thing it will have to watch out is the prospective competition from Apple’s 3G iPhone and other such developments including iPhone 2.0 update and RIM’s Balckberry’s 9000 series.

Bloggers predict Centro’s fall with such lethal competition, but with Centro’s popularity, Palm should not leave hopes but will definitely get back to work to remain in competition.
