Vodafone takes iPhone to 10 countries, including India, Australia and Italy

Vodafone iPhone map Vodafone, Britain’s leading mobile phone operator has secured the deal of selling the iPhone. It has won the distribution rights for 10 countries.

Though it lost to O2 last year in selling the iPhone in the UK, it has finally emerged out successfully. The operator will bring the iPhone to the markets of Australia, South Africa, Italy, India, Turkey, Czech Republic, Egypt, Portuguese, New Zeeland and Greece.

Apple has always launched its product with a single distributor in most of the countries. And also wishes to launch a third generation version with improved internet download speeds by the end of the year.

Apple’s iPhone is a touch screen and comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera, web browser and media player. It comes with a web browser and media player. iPhone provides eight hours of talk time. You can listen to music for 24 hours, view videos for seven hours and access internet for six hours.

It is priced at $399 in the US but its price in the other countries has not been disclosed.
