RIM’s back in news with its Blackberry Kickstart clamshell. Being the first one to use a next generation version of the SureType keypad has made this clamshell popular before its launch. It will also include a “stealth” external display on its outer frame.
Though this clamshell will be limited to quad-band EDGE but it will also support Wi-Fi. It features a QVGA 240×320 display, 2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD slot.
The front of the device has a small screen and camera, as we see in all the clamshells. Above the keyboard we find the standard Blackberry Trackball.
With this clamshell, Blackberry has supposedly transformed from its sober look to an awesome and stunning look. We are definitely looking forward towards this chic looking device. RIM is expected to expand to countries like Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe with this device.
Let’s wait and watch it unwind bit by bit.
