VTech has announced the world’s first ever cordless phone that offers instant messaging. The phone that connects to a landline wire also supports MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.
The phone with the QWERTY keypad proudly displays its extra-large, high-resolution color LCD. The VTech IS6110 Phone allows users to read and compose text messages to multiple buddies. Connect the base unit via a USB port to the PC and connect to various internet instant messaging applications. To add in more features, the phone also supports “click-to-talk” feature that enables instant voice (peer-to-peer) chats.
The cordless phone comes with a difference with the latest DECT 6.0 platform; the Wi-Fi friendly IS6110 also provides superior sound quality and security. To set a unique ringtone, record it directly from PC or stereo equipment or if you don’t have any then choose from 17 “real” musical ringtones preset into the phone. Purchase the phone through the company site at vtechphones.com or from Best Buy retail stores (USA) for a price of $99 USD.
