A huge market exists for multiplayer mobile games. So Nokia has teamed up with PopCap Games, a developer and publisher of casual games to offer mobile Java games to the SNAP Mobile platform. The game being offered is called Chuzzle. This game has been re-developed by PopCap to transform it into a multiplayer game.
According to Paul Whitaker, Head of Business Development for SNAP Mobile, Nokia “SNAP Mobile is all about bringing fun multiplayer Java games to the masses.”
He further continued, “With a catalog of broadly appealing games, PopCap titles are a perfect addition to our growing portfolio.”
Andrew Stein, Director of Mobile Business Development, PopCap told that downloading of mobile games will continue to grow rapidly as consumers have increased who keep looking for on-the-go games that allow them to interact with one another.
Stein further added, “To help meet that growing demand, we’re happy to cooperate with a company like Nokia that shares our vision of bringing engaging and fun casual games to the mobile mass-market along with a proven track record of efficiently distributing and hosting connected mobile games.”
The new multiplayer version of Chuzzle will offer community features which will include chat, leader boards and more. The earlier single player version of Chuzzle is expected to be made available on different mobile phones which will be powered by SNAP Mobile by the end of this year.
