Multiplayer Mobile Games Introduced By Reliance and CanvasM in India

Reliance and CanvasM logo Reliance has teamed up with CanvasM Technologies which is a joint venture between Motorola and Tech Mahindra, to introduce multiplayer mobile games for its customers in India.

Reliance has opened a new gaming community to network and challenge each other.The variety of international and domestic multiplayer games will be provided by CanvasM.

The multiplayer mobile game (MMG) allows its customer to compete online on mobile as well as PC gamers while playing the same game. The other features offered are lobby chat, messenger chat, game chat, score posting, profile and also allows users to invite others to play the game.

Mahesh Prasad, president, applications, solutions and content group, Reliance Communications, explained, “Mobile gaming is definitely a fast growing sector and is expected to catch up with the developed markets. Reliance’s launch of multiplayer mobile games is another step in this direction, and we are quite confident that it will generate a huge interest from our mobile customers, especially the gaming audience.”

According to Jagdish Mitra, CEO, CanvasM Technologies, added, “CanvasM is keen to get some of the new technologies to India and are very pleased to work with Reliance Communications who has taken this pioneering initiative to do so.”

CanvasM’s multi-player gaming platform has a catalogue of 15 media games. It also has a developing content as well as third party content.

Users who wish to download multiplayer mobile games will have to access Reliance Mobile World then go to games and then switch to multiplayer games. The MMG also enables advertisers to create buddy list, chat with gamers, their moods and send tailored promotional messages.

The users will have to pay Rs.99 per month for downloading a pack of three games which will include unlimited plays for a month.
