To cater to the needs of the current age social networking addicts, LG recently launched the GW300 in the UK.
Similar to the LG GW520, the messaging handset brings a designated Facebook application, offering instant and direct access. Users can now maintain important online social status in real-time. The handset features LiveSquare that enables users to display all their favorite contacts on the homescreen as avatars.
“It didn’t come as a surprise last week that Facebook announced its user number now totals 300 million, as the mobile industry is continuing to experience consumer demand for social networking focused devices. The new LG GW300 maintains LG’s dedication to bringing innovative social networking handsets to the market as they increasingly become the central communication point for avid social network users,” mentioned Jeremy Newing, head of marketing, LG Mobile UK and Ireland.
The LG phone is built with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320) TFT display. Users can also capture images by means of the 2 megapixel 4x digital zoom camera. The GW300 is equipped with 10MB of internal memory, however it can be expanded up to 4GB via a MircoSD card. The mobile phone measures 115.5mm x 61mm x12.75mm and supports Bluetooth 2.1, WAP 2.0 / HTML browser, USB 2.0 and more.
The GW300 is made available in electric blue via O2 and in vibrant red on Orange. The pricing details are not yet known.
