Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus start receiving price cuts in India

Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones have been on the market for only a few months now, but they’re already receiving price cuts in India. Various e-commerce websites have started dropping the retail tags by as much as Rs 6500 with the minimum reductions being around Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 which is still pretty good.

What’s more, the amount being cut on the Apple smartphones varies from online retailers. The iPhone 6 was originally launched at Rs 53500 with 16GB of storage, but can now be picked up for as low as Rs 48595. The same e-commerce website also has the 64GB model listed at Rs 57448, down from Rs 62500.

The Rs 71500 128GB model, on the other hand, has seen a small reduction in its retail amount as it’s now available at Rs 69999. Coming to the larger iPhone 6 Plus, you can grab the 16GB option for as low as Rs 55999. All aforementioned listings are from Flipkart as they’re the cheapest options we’ve come across.

The best deals on the 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6 Plus models, however, can be found on Amazon India where the former is selling at Rs 65999 and the latter is tagged at Rs 73999. The original tags of these devices at launch were Rs 71500 and Rs 80500, respectively. You’ll probably even find similar deals on other ecommerce websites.

In other news, the company has partnered with service providers like Reliance and Vodafone to offer both smartphones with special tariff offers. It also plans to set up 500 dedicated retail stores in the country.
