Two text-friendly messaging phones, namely the Samsung Comeback (SGH-t559) and Samsung Gravity 2 (SGH-t469), have been announced recently by Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) and T-Mobile USA. These phones are available only through T-Mobile USA.

The phones are equipped with full QWERTY keyboards, T9 predictive text and auto word completion. These phones have quick access to the Web and offer faster downloads, thanks to T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network.

“Samsung’s new messaging phones are fun and easy to use to match the needs of our customers,” commented Paul Golden, Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Mobile. “The Comeback, Gravity 2 and t349 offer the best in messaging, fun color options and access to customers’ favorite multimedia features.”

The Samsung Comeback possesses a side-flip that opens to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. This phone is available in two shades – pearl white plum and frost silver cherry. The device offers access to email and text, picture, video and instant messaging. There is a 2 MP camera with digital zoom that enables users to click clear images. The web access allows users to quickly send these pictures to their social circle or upload them on social networking sites. Additionally, there is an MP3 player for music on the go and 16GB of expandable memory.

The Samsung Gravity 2 brags of a sleek design and sports a horizontal slide-out QWERTY keyboard. There are two funky color alternatives – berry mauve and metallic pumpkin. The phone features multiple messaging capabilities, 2-megapixel camera for clicking clear pictures, built-in MP3 player and expandable memory up to 16GB.

The Comeback is currently available in T-Mobile stores for a price tag of $129.99 with a two-year service agreement. The Gravity 2 is expected to be available in August. The price tag has not been revealed yet.
