Low and Mid-Range Handsets to release by Verizon Wireless soon?

Verizon Wireless Logo Verizon Wireless is planning to publicly announce a new collection of low to mid-range handsets shortly, according to Boy Genius Report. The following is a list comprising of low and mid-range handsets (including the Storm 2) expected to be launched soon by the company.

The LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 incorporates a full touchscreen interface and is the fourth Chocolate phone to be released by the company. The already released ones include VX8500, VX8550 and VX8560. BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 is expected to launch by October or November, this year.

The next is the Palm Treo 800W which was released through Sprint last year but it is believed that Verizon will not market the handset until February, 2010.

Replacing the W755, the Motorola Entice or Harmony W766 is likely to release soon. From the Samsung family, we have the Rogue U960, U450, Strut U440 and Omnia-II i920. Replacing the Glyde U940, Samsung Rogue U960 is expected to release in August, 2009.

U450 is compatible with Verizon Mobile TV and Strut U440 will incorporate the QWERTY keypad while the Omnia-II i920 is due to hit the markets by Christmas this year. Motorola V860, Samsung Convoy U640, Casio Rock C731 and Casio Brigade C741 are other PTT handsets.

However, there is no official announcement yet.
