Asus PadFone Infinity A86 benchmarked, rocks Snapdragon 800

The Asus PadFone Infinity A86 has made its entry into the web realm through GFX Benchmark results without any official notice. Some of the specifications of the device codenamed T004 have been revealed through the listing and all those interested in laying their hands over the gadget will be glad to know that the Taiwanese company has bestowed it with a powerful quad core Qualcomm processor.

The guys over at Engadget also spotted the A86 on a website called mobile01.com which says it employs the Snapdragon 800 CPU. This chipset is likely to clock in a maximum speed of 2.265GHz. And of course, it is based on Android Jelly Bean and according to the benchmark results, runs the version 4.2.2 of the OS. We are expecting the multitasking device to be upgradeable to the latest version of the Google mobile platform.

And that’s not quite all. The official Asus website has also confirmed that a new PadFone Infinity is definitely in the works. This company’s contact page clearly mentions it in the product model category, if you select the product type as PadFone, as is clear from the picture above.

The PadFone Infinity A86 will be the fourth generation gadget in this range. It is a multipurpose device that comes equipped with a big screen tablet and a decently spec’d smartphone. Moreover, you can make use of the Asus keyboard dock to turn the included slate into a full fledged laptop for staying productive and typing conveniently while on the run.

If we were to go by all of these leaked details, then the Asus PadFone Infinity A86 is definitely coming sooner than we expected. It could make an appearance at the IFA to be held early next month.
